Session Description
Mobile networks require a long-term strategic security response that integrates advanced skills and robust controls. With generative AI capabilities rapidly evolving, both offensive and defensive threats have emerged, including new malware, enhanced social engineering, data poisoning, and synthetic identity fraud. AI/ML technologies are transforming threat detection and response by efficiently sifting through massive telemetry data. Industry guidelines underscore the need for comprehensive security controls like multi-factor authentication (MFA), least privilege, and zero-trust segmentation. Investments in AI-driven cybersecurity are at an early stage yet are critical in defending networks against sophisticated attacks. This session will explore AI/ML applications in telecom security, focusing on strategies to protect networks and users in the region.
