Decisions around radio spectrum have the greatest impact on a country’s digital development—yet they often go unnoticed. Structured in two halves, this session will combine technical depth with strategic vision to tackle two of the most pressing issues on the regional agenda.

In the first half, we’ll take a closer look at the opportunities that Direct-to-Device (D2D) satellite connectivity brings to extend coverage and support existing networks, while also addressing the key spectrum, regulatory, and ecosystem challenges that must be solved to enable its development and seamless integration into the future of connectivity.

In the second half, we’ll step back for a broader, strategic view of spectrum over the next decade—examining the main challenges around planning, spectrum pricing, and the regulatory conditions needed to unlock investment and close the digital divide.
