Zhang Jianpeng holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Zhejiang University and an MBA from the University of Cambridge. He joined ZTE in 2001 and has since held positions across multiple functions, including technology R&D, engineering services, and marketing, with extensive experience in new business development and operational management in the global ICT sector.
Mr. Zhang has been deeply engaged in ZTE’s international market expansion for over two decades, with business coverage across more than 160 countries and regions worldwide. He has played a key role in building a comprehensive overseas marketing and product-to-market system, promoting integrated product and marketing operations, while leading teams to establish strategic partnerships with multiple global multinational operator groups from inception. These efforts have significantly expanded ZTE’s overseas sales and strengthened its market presence, while advancing the quality of its international business operations.
Outside of work, Mr. Zhang is an avid outdoor enthusiast. He has long maintained marathon training, trekked across the Tengger Desert, climbed Yuzhu Peak (6,178 meters), and summited three of the Seven Summits, the highest peaks on each of the seven continents.
