Lourdes Montenegro is Head of Regulatory Affairs – Europe for AST Space Mobile. In this role, she is responsible for leading and executing regulatory strategies in Europe and Central Asia. Her work involves navigating complex global frameworks to accelerate time-to-market. She also advocates for public policies that facilitate roll-out of direct-to-cell technologies to support digital development. Prior to AST, Lourdes has made her name as a leading voice on digital inclusion through her work at the International Telecommunication Union and the World Benchmarking Alliance. She is known for having set up a corporate digital inclusion benchmark widely used by global financial institutions and as the driving force in the early years of the USD 8 trillion investor coalition for ethical artificial intelligence.
