Daniel Hajj was born on March 22, 1966, in Mexico City. He holds a degree in Business Administration from Anáhuac University.


He began his career at various companies within Grupo Carso. Between 1987 and 1997, he held important management positions at companies such as BIMEX, LUXUS, Euzkadi General Tire, and Galas of México.


In 1997, he became Director General of Telcel, and in the year 2000, he assumed the CEO position of América Móvil, one of the world's leading telecommunications companies. América Móvil operates in 23 countries and has a modern infrastructure with more than one million kilometers of fiber optic cables, submarine cables, 5 satellites, and 38 data centers.


América Móvil has grown significantly. In Mexico alone, its mobile phone operator, Telcel, is one of the most valuable and internationally recognized brands, included in the “World's 500 Most Valuable Brands" of Brand Finance.


Daniel Hajj is a member of the Boards of Directors of América Móvil, Teléfonos de México, and Grupo Carso.
