Jerónimo, Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of AT&T Mexico as of June 2024, has over 24 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, 20 of which have been spent developing his career in various roles in Engineering and Operations within AT&T Mexico's technical areas, including: Network Operations, Mobile Network Planning and Engineering, Network Experience and Performance, Data Analytics, IT Architecture, and Technological Implementations.
He built and led a multidisciplinary advanced analytics team to define and implement improvement actions for the experience of mobile phone users connected to the network, generating valuable information for the Operations and Network Engineering technical teams, as well as for the business within Sales, Marketing, and Strategy teams.
Jerónimo holds a degree in Computer Systems Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico de Querétaro and an MBA from Universidad Iberoamericana. He is also a proud member of AT&T Leader’s Edge, a leadership development program for high potentials, and an active sponsor of the Women in STEM program.
He has been recognized as one of the top 100 CIOs by CIO Mexico magazine in 2022 and 2023 for his contribution to the company’s digital transformation, technological and business growth. He is an advocate for the Women in STEM program, which integrates the talent of students in these fields at AT&T Mexico and is a strategic ally in the inclusion of more women leaders in the company’s technology areas. Additionally, he has been distinguished for two consecutive years by HITEC as one of the 50 leaders with the most positive impact on the technology industry in Latin America, Spain, and Portugal.
From 2020 to early 2024, Jerónimo led the IT transformation as CIO, establishing a solid foundation for digital transformation and laying the groundwork for continued success. During this period, IT became a service-oriented business area, changing its working dynamics through the adoption of Agile methodologies, defining a structure aligned with business units, and fostering a culture of transparency and collaboration. In his new role, Jerónimo will be responsible for the engineering and operations of AT&T’s network in Mexico. He will focus on strengthening the leadership position of our mobile network in the country, as well as leading the evolution and monetization opportunities of our infrastructure. With a strategy focused on accelerating the execution of key projects and optimizing the network through principles of transformation and continuous improvement, Jerónimo aims to elevate the perception of the network among customers, turning the network area into a business area.
