Dr. Nicolai Schättgen is the founder and CEO of Match-Maker Ventures (MMV), the leading platform for scaling innovation in the global telecom industry. Since 2015, MMV has facilitated over USD 500 million in telecom innovation deals, enabling successful collaboration between technology companies and telecom operators in 40+ countries. MMV’s unique model combines global technology scouting with hands-on execution support to accelerate commercial success.
Before founding MMV, nicolai was a Principal at Arthur D. Little, where he was part of the firm’s global telecom leadership team. In this role, he advised C-level executives and boards of major telecom groups and financial investors on strategy, business model design, and digital transformation.
In addition to his role at MMV, nicolai serves on advisory boards of several technology companies, lectures at WU Vienna, and is a regular keynote speaker at leading industry events including MWC, DTW, and NetworkX. A German citizen based in Austria, he has professional experience in more than 35 markets worldwide.
