Session Description

As Non-Terrestrial Networks transition from pilot programmes to early commercial deployment, the focus is shifting from technology readiness to the commercial, operational and regulatory conditions required for large-scale adoption.

Hosted by the GSMA NTN Community, this invitation-only executive roundtable will bring together senior representatives from mobile operators, satellite operators, equipment vendors, device manufacturers, policymakers, regulators and experts to examine how Asia-Pacific can accelerate the commercialisation of NTN through greater ecosystem collaboration.

The discussion will explore the practical challenges of integrating satellite into existing mobile networks, including commercial frameworks, roaming models, spectrum, licensing approaches, device readiness, and customer ownership. Participants will also examine how hybrid terrestrial-non terrestrial networks are likely to evolve and what policy and regulatory actions are needed to support regional deployment.

Designed as a closed-door, peer-to-peer discussion, the roundtable aims to identify areas of industry alignment and inform GSMA's ongoing work on standards, roaming frameworks, spectrum policy and ecosystem collaboration to support NTN deployment across Asia-Pacific.
