Healthcare systems worldwide are entering a defining decade. Demand is rising, workforces are under pressure, costs are escalating, and there is growing urgency to shift care into the community and toward prevention. At the same time, connectivity, AI, sensing and robotics technologies have matured to a point where genuinely intelligent, adaptive healthcare systems that improve patient outcomes are possible - if they can be deployed at scale, in real clinical environments.
The Connected Health & Community Care Accelerator (CHACCA) exists to close the gap between promise and impact. The founding members of CHACCA includes
CHACCA brings leading healthcare institutions together with technology, connectivity and industry partners to co-create, and accelerate the deployment and scaling of next-generation models of care - in hospital and community settings, with measurable operational and clinical outcomes, and with global relevance from day one. CHACCA is not a research programme. It is a delivery-focused convergence accelerator that turns advanced innovation into deployable, exportable healthcare systems with advanced connectivity as a core enabler. It recognises the need for deployments to be able to address proof of value and return on investment criteria.

The accelerating demographic shift toward an aging society, paired with a rampant epidemic of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) like diabetes and cardiovascular illnesses, is outpacing the fiscal and operational capacities of healthcare systems in ASEAN. This structural imbalance is further exacerbated by acute medical inflation, systemic resource misallocation between public and private sectors, and a severe shortage of healthcare professionals, ultimately threatening equitable access to quality, affordable medical care.

A dedicated summit for healthcare and technology leaders working to build secure, interoperable and scalable digital health systems across ASEAN.
ASEAN health systems face growing demand from ageing populations and chronic disease, workforce constraints, and rising expectations for patient experience—while needing to improve operational efficiency.
Across ASEAN, governments are accelerating national digital transformation priorities across health and the broader economy with maturity of digital infrastructure, connectivity, AI, robotics and medtech. To scale innovation beyond pilots, stakeholders must align on interoperable architectures, cybersecurity and data governance, and fit-for-purpose regulation that supports scalable deployment and cross-border collaboration.
This summit convenes regulators, health ministries, hospitals, health system, mobile operators and the ecosystem to learn from the pioneers and accelerate the transformation for the benefits of Nation.
This summit highlights the highest-value digital health use cases enabled by next-gen connectivity and AI, and the practical requirements to deploy them safely at scale across ASEAN (architecture, interoperability, cybersecurity, data governance and regulation).

This presentation explores how Malaysia markets can move from strategy to implementation by aligning national policy, digital infrastructure, financing and delivery models. It will highlight priorities for interoperable systems, workforce readiness, data governance and public-private collaboration needed to scale digital health programmes beyond pilots and deliver measurable health system impact.

It will highlight use cases, clinical benefits and adoption challenges, including device integration, clinician workflows, patient accessibility and the role of connectivity in enabling responsive, data-driven interventions.
This presentation examines how telemedicine, remote patient monitoring and connected community care can enable earlier intervention, strengthen chronic disease management and support more continuous care beyond hospital settings. It will highlight the role of connectivity, devices, data platforms and integrated care pathways in building scalable service models that improve access, patient outcomes and health system efficiency.
ASEAN countries are ageing rapidly. In 1950, only about 4.7% of the ASEAN population was over 60. By 2030, that number will almost triple to 14.8%. Along with demographic changes, healthcare needs themselves are changing as populations urbanise leading to lifestyle changes. For example, 70% of older persons in ASEAN suffer from chronic illnesses. Aged care needs will only increase with time as the underlying trends accelerate. Further, aggregates hide the differences between the ASEAN Member States. Aged, relatively high-income societies require and can afford different solutions than young, low-income societies.
Can digital health solutions bridge the growing availability, affordability and quality gaps in healthcare for senior citizens and help realise ASEAN’s vision of “a resilient, innovative, and people-centered community, anchored in universal health coverage, resilient healthcare systems, and a trusted digital ecosystem”?
