GSMA Policymakers Roundtable: Digital Trust

Digital trust is becoming a critical policy and economic issue across ASEAN. Rising scams, fraud and misuse of digital services can undermine consumer confidence, slow digital adoption and weaken trust in digital government services. As digital economies become increasingly interconnected, governments are seeking practical ways to strengthen trust whilst maintaining innovation and growth.

Mobile operators have a unique role to play in addressing these challenges through trusted identity, secure communications, resilient networks and intelligence-led approaches to fraud prevention. However, effective digital trust requires collaboration across governments, industry and the wider digital ecosystem.

This roundtable will bring together senior policymakers and regulators to discuss how governments and industry can work together to strengthen digital trust. The discussion will focus on practical policy priorities, barriers to implementation and opportunities for regional cooperation.
