Speaker Bio

Ashran Ghazi is a seasoned operator and venture builder in technology and entrepreneurship. He is the CEO of the Malaysian Research Accelerator for Technology and Innovation (MRANTI), the national research commercialisation agency under the auspices of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation. Through this role, he serves as the orchestrator of national missions through MRANTI as its CEO.


He is focused on fast-tracking homegrown innovations from concept to market, taking ideas to impact to strengthen Malaysia's technology and innovation ecosystem. His leadership emphasizes speed, execution, accountability, and strategic partnerships that unlock commercial and societal value.


Ashran is an influential voice in Malaysia’s startup and enterprise landscape. He previously served as the CEO of Dattel Asia Group, with offices spanning across ASEAN, CEO of the Malaysian Global Innovation & Creativity Centre (MaGIC), Chairman of the New Entrepreneurs Foundation (myNEF), and a Board Member of SME Corp. Malaysia. He has also spearheaded key national and regional initiatives, including the Ministry of Finance’s BAHTERA program and the ASEAN Rice Bowl Startup Awards.


He brings broad cross-sector experience spanning oil & gas, media, human capital, data analytics, and Web3 across Malaysia and the region. Ashran holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Computer Information Systems from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
