Khalid Khan is the Founder and Chairman of Smart Forum www.smartforum.org (former Central Asian Cellular Forum) established in 2004. Smart Forum is a platform for industry stake holders in the region, working toward creation of awareness, encouragement of dialogue and promotion of emerging technologies and its use in the region for operators, broadcasters, manufacturers, software companies, government, academia and the general public.
Mr. Khan is an Electronics Engineering Graduate from NED University with master’s in Business and Finance. He is a certified ICAP Director and has been on the Board of Directors of prestigious IT, Media & Telecom companies that includes Interactive Group, Diallog Broadband (a Mobile TV company), Radio Buraq FM, Pure-Push (A private incubation centre working with Universities), Mintsoft and Mindstir. He is also founder Publisher and Editor in Chief of Phone-World Magazine (www.phoneworld.com.pk ). Currently, he is engaged in promotion and development of 5G Awareness, AI Uses for Societal Good and Upskilling of Human Resources in the region.
