Speaker Bio
Koji Kurushima is the CEO of Mobicom Corporation LLC, Mongolia’s leading telecommunications company being appointed since 2022. With over 20 years of experience in telecom and global business strategy, he has played a key role in driving digital transformation and expanding strategic partnerships.
He began his career at KDDI in 2000, working in SME ICT sales before moving into corporate strategy, marketing, and global business development. His expertise spans new business model creation, M&A due diligence, and subsidiary management. He also has experience working in Bangladesh market enabling him to conduct business professionlalis from a global viewpoint. From 2015 to 2017, he supported Mobicom’s management from Japan, gaining deep insight into Mongolia’s telecom sector.
In 2017, he was relocated to Mongolia to take on leadership roles within Mobicom. As Deputy COO, and later as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), he led various strategic initiatives, including marketing strategy development, product management, PR and communications, and the expansion of Mobicom’s digital ecosystem through platforms like Monpay and VOO. His leadership in CSR and SDGs-related activities also strengthened Mobicom’s commitment to social responsibility.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Waseda University. Outside of his professional endeavors, he enjoys golf and ice hockey.
