Session Description

This is an Invite-Only Roundtable. If you wish to partake, please contact us via email at externalaffairs@gsma.com.

In an era of voice clones, deepfakes, and highly realistic synthetic media, distinguishing authentic digital content from artificially generated or manipulated material has become a defining policy challenge. This rapid evolution raises critical questions around data provenance, content authenticity, and the erosion of digital trust. Simultaneously, as AI systems are increasingly embedded into high-impact decision-making, establishing reliable mechanisms to measure assurance, verify safety, and quantify risk has become an urgent shared priority.

This closed-door roundtable brings together senior leaders from government and industry to explore how frameworks for digital trust can move beyond static compliance toward dynamic, verifiable measurement. The discussion will focus on practical methodologies for testing, evaluating, and proving that automated systems reliably adhere to foundational principles of fairness, transparency, and lawful processing.
