From Use Case to Impact: Assessing and Scaling AI in the ASEAN Region

AI solutions are increasingly driving social and economic impact in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), yet promotion of use cases and ability to assess and scale that impact hasn’t kept pace. This session explores how innovators, funders, and researchers are implementing and measuring the evolving impact of AI tools while supporting pathways to scale that preserve their social value. We’ll also spotlight how AI is being applied in diverse contexts, the real-world challenges faced in assessing outcomes as tools evolve, and the trade-offs between commercial sustainability and deep impact.
