Leslie Falvey is co-author of GSMA's State of Scams in ASEAN, now in its third edition across six ASEAN markets and India, and the Founder of the Singapore advisory firm Armidale. His work follows how consumers encounter, report and resolve scams across the region, and treats fraud as a systemic economic harm rather than a private business cost. He also convenes CROSEC, a retailer-led association formed to close the information gaps that fraud exploits across the retail sector. He has spent three decades across the region's largest mobile markets, sits on the board of Ooredoo Hutchison Asia, and was previously Head of Asia, Commercial Investments at Ooredoo Group. His position is that industry must share intelligence and coordinate its response far faster than it does today, and that governments have a decisive role in making that exchange possible.
