Speaker Bio

Professor Dr. Shaik Farid Abdull Wahab is a Deputy Director (Clinical) at Hospital Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (HoSZA) and Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA). He obtained his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) and Master of Emergency Medicine (MMed Emerg) from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), and completed his Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital – Harvard Medical School. He served as the Director of the Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship Program at USM from 2016 to 2024, where he played a pivotal role in training and mentoring hundreds of emergency medicine residents and fellows from both local and international institutions. A past President of the College of Emergency Physicians Malaysia, he also has been a key figure in advancing emergency medicine practice and education nationally. He currently serves as Advisor to the Aquatic Life Support Society Malaysia and is President of the Wilderness and Austere Medicine Society Malaysia, reflecting his ongoing commitment to the development of emergency medicine fraternity.
