Speaker Bio

I serve as Adviser to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Tarique Rahman, with the rank of State Minister, overseeing the Ministry of Science & Technology, the Ministry of Posts & Telecommunications, and Information Technology.


I bring nearly two decades of global leadership experience across technology, telecommunications, government, multilateral institutions, and large-scale international programmes. Prior to my current role, I served as Vice President of Global Operations at Expedia Group, Chief Program Officer for Expo 2020 Dubai, and Chief of Staff at the United Nations World Food Programme. Earlier in my career, I held senior leadership positions at AT&T and began my career as a network engineer and consultant at Nokia Siemens Networks.


I hold an MSc in Engineering and Management from MIT Sloan School of Management and a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications and Electrical Engineering from RMIT University, Australia. My current focus is on advancing Bangladesh's digital transformation, telecommunications, information technology, and scientific innovation.
