Polina joined Google in Russia in May 2014 as Head of Android Partnerships for Russia and CIS. Starting from the beginning of 2022 she is based in Dubai, UAE, and is covering the Growth markets region which includes the Middle East, Turkey, Israel and CIS.
In her job she is responsible for the Android strategy with key Telco partners in the region and has launched a number of projects like Direct Carrier Billing, Android TV etc.
In 2007-2014 she had been managing devices portfolio at “Mobile TeleSystems” (MTS), the leading carrier in Russia. At MTS Polina developed and launched a portfolio of branded devices including smartphones, modems and set-top-boxes. Along with that she was responsible for creating and executing marketing campaigns with HTC, Nokia, Samsung and other partners.
Polina Chernikova graduated with honors from the Faculty of International Business at Omsk State University, did her MBA at Higher School of Economics, and then continued her education at INSEAD where she took various courses such as Aspiring Directors and Executive Presence and Influence.
