Session Description
How do trusted digital nations remain trusted when crisis strikes? Closing the Digital Trust Summit, this session opens with an address on anchoring trust through resilient infrastructure, before a fireside conversation on protecting lives and livelihoods through resilience and rapid recovery. A short briefing on spectrum policy follows, examining the regulatory foundations that underpin resilient networks, before the session closes with the panel discussion, "Networks for Resilient Digital Nations: Preparedness, Continuity and Innovation in ASEAN," where government and industry leaders explore how resilient networks, AI-enabled early warning systems and satellite connectivity can safeguard lives and sustain economic continuity across ASEAN.
Session Programme:
15:30 – 15:40
Opening: From Access to Availability: Anchoring Trust through Resilient Infrastructure
Connecting a community is only the first step. When connectivity fails during a crisis, digital trust is eroded and the consequences can extend across essential services, businesses and communities. The opening will explore why resilient communications infrastructure, emergency preparedness and reliable network availability are fundamental pillars of trusted digital nations and societal resilience.
15:40 – 15:55
Fireside Chat: Guardians of the Digital Lifeline: Protecting Lives and Livelihoods through Resilience and Rapid Recovery
Mobile networks and connectivity providers are critical infrastructure underpinning modern society. This conversation will explore what is required to protect the digital lifelines on which emergency services, businesses and communities depend, and how the industry can move beyond basic connectivity towards greater preparedness, continuity and rapid recovery when disruption occurs.
15:55 – 16:05
Future-Ready Connectivity for Resilient Digital Nations: Spectrum Decisions for Investment Certainty As economies become increasingly digital and AI-driven, resilient connectivity is essential to attracting investment, strengthening competitiveness, and ensuring that businesses and communities can benefit from new services and technologies. Meeting growing demand will require sustained investment in network coverage, capacity and quality, supported by a policy environment that gives operators the confidence to plan for the long term.
This keynote will highlighting how predictable licence renewal processes, proportionate obligations and investment-friendly spectrum pricing can provide greater certainty for network investment and support stronger coverage, service continuity and resilience. It will also look ahead to future connectivity needs, including the importance of making the 6 GHz band available to deliver the additional capacity required for future-ready networks.
16:05 – 16:55
Panel: Networks for Resilient Digital Nations: Preparedness, Continuity and Innovation in ASEAN
Resilient networks are essential to maintaining connectivity, protecting communities and sustaining economic activity during periods of disruption. Bringing together perspectives from
government, mobile operators, humanitarian organisations and satellite and technology providers, the panel will examine preparedness, network continuity and emerging approaches to resilience, including critical communications, satellite connectivity and regional cooperation.
16:55 – 17:00
Closing Reflections for the Day
The closing reflections will bring together the key themes of the Digital Trust Summit, highlighting the importance of trusted infrastructure, coordinated policy, technological innovation and resilient connectivity in building digital nations that can withstand disruption while protecting citizens, communities and economies.
